German Imperial Era, Bavarian Cuirassier Officer Dress Sword, E.Pack Mfg, Etched Blade

Original era manufacture. Fine quality sword by Ernst Pack, whose trade mark can be seen on the ricasso of the reverse langet. Chrome finish, straight steel blade measures 30.75 inches in length, with an etched floral design bearing the In Treue Fest motto on each side. The blade runs straight and true, no nicks in the cutting edge, just a little bit of corrosion, mostly at the base of the blade. Nicely decorated single branch guard with the Bavarian lion on the obverse langet. Leather wrapped grip bound with triple strand wire. Dent free blue steel scabbard with a single carrying ring, both throat screws are in place.
