US Indian War Era 1872 Pattern Infantry Shako

Original period manufacture. Blue wool covered pressed felt body with a black painted unbound leather visor. Gold brocade trim around crown, down each side and on the back. Black painted metal ventilator in the top of the shako. Gilded brass side buttons decorated with an infantry horn. False embroidered Infantry horn on the front with a 2 inside, stamped eagle above. Thin black leather adjustable chin strap, brown leather sweatband which is loose in the back. Removable white cock feather plume. Size about a 6 3/4-7, no markings, no moth issues.
