Description

Original era manufacture. 14 karet gold medal weighing in at 7.50 grams. Numbered on the suspension loop 6760, the number assigned by the Loyal Legion of the United States, to Lt. Henry A. Breed, who served in Company F, 155th Pennsylvania Infantry in September 1862. He was discharged due to disability in October 1863. During his time of service the 155th Pennsylvania saw combat at Fredericksburg, Chancellorsville, and Gettysburg. After the war he made his home in Pittsburgh. Comes with several pages of printed research. Newer ribbon, no suspension clasp.
