German WWII Kriegsmarine Battle Flag-This is a naval flag made by a rare maker named Curt Brautigam, of Plauen, Vogtland. This flag measures 94 Β½ inches long and 55 ΒΌ inches wide. It is faintly marked 150cm x 250cm, meaning this flag is approx. 7ft long (2.1m) by approx. 4 ft (1.2m) wide. It is produced in smooth red bunting material, is two-sided and features a printed insignia producing a mirror image reverse. It has bright colors and is clean for the most part, though there are a few spots of discoloration and stains to the white. Please see photos. The edges of the flag are reinforced with additional stitching, and the hoist end has reinforced corners (with extra material). The hoist end has a white bunting material sewn over it forming a section through which a rope lanyard, looped at one end and loose at the other, is there for hanging the flag. This is stamped with Navy proof followed by 'Kr. Fl. 150 x 250' (National Battle Flag with the size) and with the maker's label. This is a desirable flag. Priced to sell.
