French Post WWI Colonel's Kepi

Original era manufacture. I believe this is a Medical officers kepi with the garnet red velvet body, however the silver colored side buttons are plain.Polo pattern hat with rank braid for Colonel, velvet covered body and a red wool top. Wide brown leather sweatband, laced with silk ribbon, and a golden brown silk lining. Black leather bound visor.There is a one inch tear in the body of the kepi on the reverse, it has been repaired but is quite visible. The kepi shows normal wear and use but is not crushed or broken.
