L.C.C. Evacuation Armband.

Screen printed cotton armband with corner ties for use by coordinators of the London County Council Evacuation scheme. Largely worn by teachers and other volunteers tasked with the onerous task of organising, accompanying and looking after the groups of children evacuated from the Capital at various times during the War. Good, used, slightly grubby condition.
