French WWII Era Gymnastic Union Stick Pin, Haguenau, 101st Abn

Original period manufacture. Gilt alloy stickpin with an enameled obverse and mounted to a German style pin attachment. Haguenau saw considerable fighting and was nearly completely destroyed during the waning days of WWII. It was briefly held by the 506th PIR, 101st Abn Division during February of 1945 as shown in the TV series Band of Brothers.
