Spanish 19th Century Infantry Officers Sword

Original era manufacture. This is an interesting sword which by the decoration on the blade may date to the early part of the 19th century.The polished steel blade measures 33 inches in length with a rounded point, and runs fairly straight and true. Etched onto both sides of the blade is the motto in Spanish, 'Por My Ley, Y, Por My Rey' and my online translator states, My King and my law.Simple brass guard and pommel, fishskin wrapped grip bound with triple strand wire. No scabbard.
