Original era manufacture. Polished steel blade measures 27 inches in length, with a steel patina finish, and scattered spots of old cleaned corrosion. The blade runs straight and true, no nicks in the cutting edge, and is quite presentable.The very ornate gilded brass guard is really a work of art, with deeply chiseled decoration, with a Dolphin head quillon, and a crowned anchor in the center of the guard. The grips is of carved horn, of a very dark hue, with no cracks or chips in its surface. No scabbard.
