WW2 Tank Commander's Elgin Watch c.1943

A very good example of a WW2 tank watch. According to Elgin and War Department records, this is a genuine WW2 Tank Commander's pocket watch, made in 1943. It was likely issued for D-Day, as it bears the army abbreviation 'TK', which was the WD abbreviation denoting 'Tank'.This US-made watch uses the Elgin Grade 594 movement, which is in good cosmetic condition, showing some service wear expected of a military timepiece that saw service in a tank, yet it is in good working order, keeping time.
