Thames Rowing Club Victorian Button by Hammond Turner & Sons

A scarce original 'Thames Rowing Club large blackened brass button' in the form of an embossed title strap with flag to the centre bearing the letters 'TRC'; the reverse impressed with early maker's details 'Hammond Turner & Sons' a format used between circa 1823 and 1865. Good condition, minor service wear, complete with original shank.Diameter approx 25mm.Thames Rowing Club was founded in 1860.
