Japanese WWII Rucksack

Japanese WWII Rucksack-This appears to be a variation on the type 99 Japanese backpack. It has a body made of a heavy duty green canvas. The Japanese military slang referred to this model as the Octopus-leg (Tako-Ashi) Backpack, because of the many tie-down straps sewn-onto the pack looking like tentacles. This pack is in choice condition, and quite clean. It is nicely stamped with the maker's information under the lid in black ink. This backpack is extremely clean. The shoulder straps are in place. A mint example overall.
