Japanese WWII Dispatch/Map Case

Japanese WWII Dispatch/Map Case-This is the hard-shell brown leather version with hand stitched 5-pointed star on front flap. The fittings are made of brass. This measures 13 inches (33.02cm) long by approx. 9 ½ inches (24.13cm) wide. The front has a slot for paperwork or maps. There is also a flap on the reverse with a second pocket which is unusual. The leather is in good condition and is very nicely toned. It could use some conditioning. There is a nice brown leather shoulder strap with adjustable buckle and snap clips at each end. This is a good-looking piece.
