Description

WWII Japanese Late War Ceramic (INERT!) Fragmentation Grenade-THIS IS FULLY INERT! This is one of the 'last ditch' Japanese ceramic grenades produced during the last part of the war. These were also called a type 4 and are a fragmentation grenade made out of terra cotta or porcelain. These grenades were mass produced near the end of WWII. This one is missing the rubber cap that would cover the top, to prevent damage to the fuse due to humidity and moisture). This would also have a carrying strap (usually suspended from the soldier's neck for transport). This strap is missing. The brown finish is nicely intact and has a very nice look to it. It is not marked at all. In excellent condition.
