Description

Original US Korean War M1923 M1 Garand Cartridge Belt Marked JQMD And Dated 1950 Or 53-This is an original U.S. M1923 cartridge belt issued during the Korean War, designed specifically to carry ammunition for the M1 Garand rifle, the standard infantry weapon of the time. These belts saw continued use from WWII through the early Vietnam War period.Constructed from olive drab web canvas in varying shades, this belt is faintly marked 'U.S.' along with 'Belt Cartridge,' and bears a JQMD (Jeffersonville Quartermaster Depot) stamp dated either 1950 or 1953 (the date is partially obscured). The belt shows minor wear consistent with field use. All 'Lift-the-Dot' fasteners are fully functional. Notably, the internal stripper clip retaining straps were never sewn in, factory oversight or variant.Overall, this belt remains in excellent used condition and is a solid example of Korean War era U.S. web gear.
