You are bidding on a 100% original WW2 German Luftwaffe Signed Photo of Major Theodor Hopf!Theodor Hopf was born in 1918 and attended military academy, holding the junior rank of Officer Cadet or Candidate in 1936. In 1938 he achieved the rank of Leutnant, and in 1940 the rank of Oberleutnant. He was an Oberleutnant when he earned the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross on the 21st of September 1941. He was serving as Company Commander in the 170th Infantry Regiment serving in the East. In 1942 he was promoted to Hauptman, and was awarded the German Cross in Gold on October 16th. On the 5th of June, 1943, he was awarded the Close Combat Clasp in Bronze for 16 days of close quarters combat, while serving as Hauptmann in the 170th Grenadier Regiment. In 1944 he was promoted to Major. Theodor died in 2008.Made of card stock, this post-war signed photo is in SUPERB condition!Featuring an image of Hopf, there are no major marks or wear! It is signed at the top in blue ink. A modern signature, it was probably signed in the 1990s. Wouldmake a PERFECT addition to any collection or display!
