You are bidding on a VERY NICE example of a WW2 Imperial Japanese Army Type 30 Bayonet and Scabbard! The belonged to Eugene Samuel McGill, who served on the USS Iowa throughout the war.Made of wood and steel, this Japanese Type 30 Bayonet is in EXCELLENT used condition! Dating around 1943-1945, there is some very slight marks and wear, but nothing that detracts. Both the blade and scabbard retain MUCH of their original finish!Features a VERY CLEAR Tokyo/Kokura Arsenalstamp. Eugene Samuel McGill served on the USS Iowa, and inscribed his campaign service on the scabbard.
