Description
This is a SUPERB example of a 100% INERT WW2 German Luftwaffe 20ร138 FlaK Blank Training Round, as used ONLY by Germany's famous FlaK 30/38!The Flak 30 (Flugzeugabwehrkanone 30) and improved Flak 38 were 20 mm anti-aircraft guns used by various German forces throughout World War II. It was not only the primary German light anti-aircraft gun, but by far the most numerously produced German artillery piece throughout the war. It was produced in a variety of models, notably the Flakvierling 38 which combined four Flak 38 autocannons onto a single carriage. This wooden projectile enabled the gun to feed and fire blank rounds fully automatically.Made of copper, this is a FANTASTIC piece of history! Completely inert, there are some very slight wear and marks, however it remains VERY SOLID! There is a slight knurl approx. 40mm from the base, indicating it is a blank. The markings are still VERY strong throughout, indicating:P414WaA201IXg4020eThe hollow wooden bullet appears to be made of beech and has the profile of the armour piercing projectile. Comes complete with the original cardboard tube, that has a matching production date of 1940. Would make a PERFECT addition to any collection or display!
