Description
You are bidding on a VERY NICE barn-find example of a WW2 German Wehrmacht Warmwasserkasten (Vehicle Engine & Cabin Heating Unit)! This was installed in most armored halftracks, such as the Sd.Kfz. 250 and Sd.Kfz. 251!These heaters were installed in vehicles that regularly operated in cold weather (Eastern Front, for example) to keep the vehicle's engine warm during start-up; was well as to draw heat from the engine to provide warmth within the cabin. As it was connected to the water cooler, it would warm up the engine by means of a blow-torch. They were usually installed by the driver or co-driver/radio operator position.Made of steel, this Engine & Cabin Heater is in EXCELLENT relic condition! Though it is missing the front cover, it is otherwise 100% COMPLETE! It still retains traces of the original late-war tan dunkelgelb paint, but it does feature some corrosion from being outside. Some marks, scratches, and wearβ¦as well as a few dentsβ¦but nothing that detracts. Should be very easy to clean-up and make functional again. Dating around 1944, I have shown its location in the last images.A PERFECT addition to any collection, display, or restoration project!Powered by SixBit's eCommerce Solution
