Description

This is a small knife that can be seen in many period photos of German soldiers using in the trenches during WW1. This is the type sent over by relatives to there loved ones in France, again numerous period adverts in papers selling these knives and advertised as useful to the German soldier at the front. This example is in nice condition with the full blade with tip having minor staining only. Of course its been sharpened as one would expect. The stag grip handle is in nice condition without chips or cracks. Both metal fittings have a certain amount of rust bleed. The period scabbard is in used condition with the tip having a small hole from use and shrinkage. Knife measures just over 7 inches long.NOT FOR SALE TO UNDER 18'S AND UK ONLY. PROOF OF AGE IS REQUIRED.
