VM37 Volksgasmaske in Canister

Extremely nice VM37 volksgasmaske (people's gas mask) in its original carrying can. The can has a little light rust and wear with some fairly minor dents. There is even about 1' of the original carrying strap left. The gas mask is virtually like new. I couldn't find any flaws and even the lenses are super clear. It does still contain some asbestos, so I would not put it on, although I was very tempted. The canister is still a pretty good example - just a bit on the well used, but reasonably well cared for, side of things. Every German citizen was required by law to own a gas mask and emergency medical supplies in case of air raids and this is one of them.
