Japanese WWII Army Helmet, Complete

Sold
$695.00

Description

Original period manufacture. A complete example of the standard Japanese Army helmet of WWII. Original paint, rivets, star, liner and cloth chinstrap. The exterior of the helmet shows a dark paint finish, with most of the original paint remaining intact.  Honest, and normal wear to the full length cloth chinstrap. Brown leather liner and band, with all three pads intact, original adjusting string in the center. The only flaws to this otherwise honest, original helmet, are two tears in the leather liner band, one in the rear of the helmet, the other on the right side. Each is located near the split ring which holds the liner in place. I believe a careful application of a small patch of leather, backed with a good quality leather glue will effect a tidy repair.
