Now for sale, this beautiful artifact is attributed to RK w/ Oakleaves and Swords Trager, Sylvester Stadler. The cap itself has been closely inspected by the best experts, and it is original period β used, with untouched original insignia, consisting of a cupal set of Wagner eagle and Deschler skull. The the cap has been featured in Jan Meland and Trond Elvans' famous book, 'Heer and SS Visor Caps and Uniforms,' which is truly an excellent work, highlighting the best characteristics of these types of caps. The Stadler cap is exquisite. Made by Erel β 'privat' and shows authentic, moderate service use throughout. The insignia have not been altered or touched and the Totenschaedel covers the famous Erel vent hole in the front. The cap shows fine workmanship, 'doeskin' construction and the initials 'S.S.' for Sylvester Stadler. Stadler was a famous knight's cross holder, and the youngest general in the Waffen-SS to have attained the rank, at age 34.
