Description

WH (Heer) Infantry M35 Dress Tunic (Wehrmacht Parade-Waffenrock) as intended for an 'Oberfeldwebel' within an 'Infanterie-Regiment'. The M35 dress tunic was introduced for wear by all ranks on 29 June 1935 as the walking out, parade and ceremonial dress with stone grey long pants. The design of the M35 dress tunic was based on the Imperial German army's service tunic. Originally all personnel were issued two M35 dress tunics but manufacture was discontinued somewhere around 1940 as a result of the war. The different branches of service within the German army were allocated a particular identifying 'Waffenfarbe' (branch of service) color, this tunic is piped in white as intended for an NCO within an Infantry unit. The tunic is having a nicely hand-embroidered type breast-eagle hand-sewn to the wearer's right breast, the tunic is having a pair of collar-tabs nicely machine sewn to the collar. Silver NCO braid is machine-sewn around the collar. The tunic is complete with a pair of original sew-in type shoulder boards, the shoulder boards are showing two rank pips indicating an 'Oberfeldwebel' within an Infantry Regiment. All insignia are original applied. The tunic is not visible maker marked or dated. The tunic is in overall good condition with some regular traces of usageand some minor (moth)damages, mainly on the reverse, see photos. This tunic was recently found on a German flea-market and was not part of a collection before.Nice untouched original Infantry Dress Tunic in good used condition!
