German WWII Signed Photo and Letter from Knight's Cross Winner Kriegsmarine Engineer Carl-August Landfermann-Landfermann was the chief engineer on a U-boat U-181 under the command of Wolfgang Luth. U-181 made the second longest patrol in U-boat history. He was awarded the Knights cross when U-181 returned from patrol in October '43. This lot contains the black and white photo, a letter signed by Landfermann, as well as the original envelope. The signed photograph measures 6 inches (15.5cm) tall and 4 inches (10.06cm) wide. Everything is excellent.
