German WWII Signed Photo of Knight's Cross Winner Heinz Deutsch-Deutsch held the rank of Leutnant der Reserve or 2nd Lieutenant of Reserves. He was in the Führer, 3. Kompanie, Fallschirm-Sturmgeschütz-Brigade 12, of the Luftwaffe. With his crew of three other men, Heinz was the commander of his Sturmgeschütz III, which destroyed 17 tanks and armored vehicles. It is notable that Heinz Deutsch was cited to receive the Deutsches Kreuz in Gold on March 5th, 1945, but received the Ritterkreuz zum Eisernen Kreuzes. The photo measures 5 inches (12.7cm) tall by 3 ½ inches (8.89cm) wide. The original envelope is included as well. Overall, in good condition, and definitely someone who would be fun to research.
