A very well preserved example of the 1917 pattern Australian other ranks servcie dress tuinc. British made and dated dated 1940. British khaki wool serge four pocket tunic. Bakelite AMF buttons and oxidized rising sun collars and Australian nationality shoulder titles. Maker ordnance marked marked 'Jaket Service Dress Australian Military Forces' and dated 1940. Unissued condition. These were made in the anticipation of the arriving Australian troops in England prior to their eventual deployment to the Mediterranean theater.Hardly ever seen on the market. Rare and in perfect mint condition. A fine and unusual addition to a collector of Australian military uniforms.
