WW1 British War MedalTo- CAPT.W.P.WADDELLCaptain William Persse Caddell was born on 29 June 1876 at County Galway, Ireland. He was the son of Lieut Colonel Henry Caddell and Anna Matilda Persse.He married Florence May Ogden in January 1908 at Three Rivers, Quebec, Canada & first landed in France 21-3-1915 serving with the Royal Engineers. He finished his war serving with the A.S.C & applied for his trio in 1921 & had it sent to his Brother Brigadier W Caddell who was living in Middlesex at that time. & died on 8 August 1947 at age 71 at Haswell, County Durham, His mother was part of the Irish aristocracy & her family hailed from Galway.NEF & complete with MIC details
