WW1 Pair, WW2 Defence medal & GVIR 1st type Special Constabulary faithful service medal with long service clasp dated 1946To- 2210.TPR.A.CROSS.HOUSEHOLD.BNAlfred Cross was a coalminer from Purston near Feathersone, Yorkshire when he enlisted in the the Household battalion. He received a gun shot wound to the left thigh 26-6-1917 & went on to be transferred to the Grenadier Guards in January 1918. He returned home at the wars end & went back to the mines. He served as a Special Constable 1938 to 1946.NEF & Complete with a small selection of original documents & photographs. Along with MIC & casualty details.
