GVR 1st type WW1 Military Medal & 1914-15 trioTo- 26805.DVR.H.PARKIN.18/D.A.C.R.F.A (MM)& 26805.DVR.H.PARKIN.R.F.A / R.A (Trio)Harry Parkin from Newark first landed in France 25-7-1915 & was awarded the MM for services in France in the London gazette 28-9-1917 whilst serving with the 18th divisional ammunition column. He was discharged 17-6-1919 & returned to his civilian occupation of gamekeeper. He served with the Inverness home guard during WW2 so presumably he had moved to Scotland for work ?NEF & Court mounted as worn. Complete with 18th division gallantry card for his gallantry at Shrapnel corner 14-7-1917, certificate of employment during the war, certificate of demobilization, forwarding letter for the recipients 1914-15 star & his WW2 Home Guard proficiency certificate.
