WH 'Coconut' M31 Canteen and Cup

Wehrmacht M31 Canteen and Cup (Feldflasche 31 und Trinkbecher). The standard issue M31 canteen was introduced on 23 March 1931. This is a pressed wood, so-called 'Coconut', covered aluminium flask. The canteen is complete with bakelite cup and webbing straps. One part of the webbing straps with the stud and attachement is missing, see photos. The webbing strap has come loose from the aluminum cap on the flask, see photos. The black bakelite cup is in good condition. The canteen is maker marked and dated with 'H.R.E.42' indicating production by the company of 'Heinrich Ritter' from Esslingen in 1942. Nice original canteen in heavily used condition, priced accordingly!
