Veteran Bring Back German WWII Kriegsmarine High Seas Fleet Badge-This badge was awarded to sailors for service on battleships and cruisers, as well as supporting vessels. It was instituted in April of 1941. The finish is missing on this zinc example, but the zinc is a nice dark silver color, that actually has a bit of shine to it. It's a pretty color. The details on this badge are excellent. Take a look at the details on the ship, wreath and eagle. They are quite pronounced. The pin, hinge and catch setup work as they should. We were lucky enough to be able to purchase this directly from the veteran's family. We will be sure to give the soldier's name to the buyer. This is a handsome little badge.
