Luftwaffe Afrika Coin Purse

Original leather coin purse of the same style that was a typical souvenir from Africa which a soldier has improved by adding a Luftwaffe rank gull and officers pip to. The cloth portion of the zipper is torn a bit which makes opening it a little tricky and probably reduces its ability to perform its primary function of keeping stuff inside, but at least the zipper is not completely broken.What I like most about this piece is how many leather things in this style I have found mixed in with GI's personal gear. It was a very popular thing for anyone that was in Africa and it is nice to know that the Germans there were not immune to its charms.
