Pocket Ashtray or Keepsake Box Höhenluftkurort Geising i/Sa

Stamped metal souvenir tin from Höhenluftkurort Geising i/Sa. (high altitude health resort in Geising Saxony). I am not sure if it was meant as a pocket ashtray or as just a general sort of small keepsake box (maybe for jewelry, cufflinks or things of that nature). What is interesting about it is it looks like a generic souvenir item that shops could buy and attach their own piece to the front. It is somewhat hard to open (it is made that way so it doesn't accidentally pop open). You do not what to pull on the circle disc or it may break off. Fairly good condition with overall general wear. Sticker residue on the bottom.
