RMSP Alcantara shipping line silver ships wheel badge by Mappin & Webb

A scarce original pre 1929 period 'R.M.S.P. Alcantara ship's wheel pin brooch', fine quality example mounted to the centre with the house flag of the 'Royal Mail Steam Packet Company'; the reverse impressed 'SILVER' and with maker's details 'MN & WB' (Mappin & Webb London and Sheffield) a configuration used between between 1898 and 1929. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel.Diameter approx 28mm.
