This is a very attactive example of a WWI-period: 'Ehrenkreuz fΓΌr Witwen und Waisen 1914-18' (or: specific WWI-cross as given to widows and orphans) being a nicely preserved and neatly maker- (ie. 'D.&.Co.'-) marked example that came together with its period (once-mounted and minimally shortened-) piece of ribbon (ie. 'Bandabschnitt') and that comes in an overall very nicely preserved- (and I deem only minimally used- ie. worn- ie. still 'virtually mint'), condition. The attractive (and truly black-coloured) award is a very nicely preserved (and iron-based) example that retains all of its somewhat darkened ie. shiny, blackened 'finish' (as can be seen on the pictures) and came together with its period ribbon (ie. 'Bandabschnitt'). The piece is just a tiny bit stained but is neverthelass very nicely preserved (as can be seen on the pictures). I deem that I have priced this attractive 'Ehrenkreuz fΓΌr Witwen und Waisen 1914-18'-medal-set, accordingly!
