This is a decent example of an all brass hilted lion's head parade sword. Designated as Pattn 119 and it features in the Swords of Germany book on page 64. Hilt still has over 50% of the fire gilding over the brass base. Lion's head pommel with red glass eyes. Black celluloid grip with complete triple wire wrap. Crossguard eagle and swastika with pointed outstretched wing tips. Black steel scabbard has original paint and a couple of light surface dents. Small part of the edge of the top scabbard throat missing, but does not detract from the rest of the sword. Blade is a polished steel type with a few old finger smudges here and there, which would probably clean up a lot better. The reverse riccasso has the Alcoso trademark stamped sideways along the blade with the scales trademark beside it.Good looking sword for the money.
