Service used large Heer tropical rucksack, body made of thick olive colored cotton, with olive colored web components, straps, loops and trim, having mixed aluminum and steel fittings, pack has thick knotted drawstring at the top, threaded through aluminum eyelets, front of pack has two large flapped patch pockets which are closed with separate straps and roller buckles, the large main flap has two straps and buckles, internally there is a large flapped pocket of green colored cotton closed with two dished aluminum buttons, rucksack has integral adjustable straps and one large D ring for attachment to a vehicle, maker stamped and dated 1942 in black ink, with former owners' names inked to the inner flap and one strap, shows wear, abrading and soiling, the steel components have some rust, USD $225
