This is an attractive - and actually not that easily encountered! - WH (Kriegsmarine) 'standard-type'- (ie. 'standard-issued') towel (ie. 'Handtuch') as was executed in 'roughly-styled' linnen-based cloth and that is bearing the interwoven text: 'Kriegsmarine' and that comes in an in overall very nice- (ie. 'virtually mint- ie. unissued'-), condition. The towel - which is approximately 96 x 53,5 cms. sized - does show two horizontally mounted- and/or darker-blue-coloured stripes - and was probably issued but simply never used and still retains a somewhat 'hardened touch': it just shows some minimal aging ie. staining simply caused by decades of storage only. Simply a neat - and most certainly not that often seen! - personal naval-equipment-item: great to store in a soldiers'-bread-bag or to be used in any equipment set-up!
