WWII German Army 'Oberarzt' Waffenrock-This is for a doctor with the rank of 1stlieutenant, in the German army known as 'oberartz'. This is a private purchase example that has been restored. It is produced in field grey wool that is of a good quality. There is minor wear and discoloration plus a few spots of very light tracking. This has an eight button closure and all buttons are silver finished pebbled metal. There is blue medical piping at each closure seam edge, around the French cuffs, at the tail and at the front and lower edges of the dark green badge cloth collar. The collar tabs and cuff tabs are silver bullion over blue medical badge cloth. The sew in shoulder boards are bright silver flat wire over blue medical badge cloth. Each has a single pip and a medical cipher. The breast eagle is bright silver bullion over green wool. As mentioned, this was restored and had some of the insignia reapplied. This includes the shoulder boards and the breast eagle. The collar and cuff tabs are originally applied. A few buttons have also been reattached. There are a few (messy) collector applied badge/ribbon bar loops. The interior is fully lined in green rayon that is in fine condition. There is a pocket on the left side and a tailor tag at the neck area. This is a size medium. Good condition!
