Third Reich Orts Level Political Leader Tunic-The vintage of this tunic is between 1936 and 1938 and it is for a 'blockleiter' or block leader. The blouse is produced in olive drab wool that is in very good condition, with minor wear and discoloration only. There is a four button closure and all buttons are silver finished pebbled metal in the earlier political style. The breast pockets are pleated with scalloped flaps. The lower pockets are plain with straight flaps. The collar tabs are brown badge cloth with a 10mm gold tresse 'L' and blue piping. These have been nicely reapplied at some point. The armband is red wool with a separately applied ribbed white disc and multi piece black tape swastika. This has also been nicely reapplied. You can see stitches where another armband once was. The breast pocket has loops for two different awards. There are French cuffs. The interior is fully lined in brownish gold rayon. There is wear and staining from use plus a few small tears. There is a pocket on the left side which has a large RZM tag inside. The tunic is a size medium. Very good condition!
