Eastern Peoples Award 2nd Class in Gold without Swords (Verdienstauszeichnung für Angehörige der Ostvölker, 2. Klasse in Gold)This series of awards was instituted on 14 July 1942 to recognize the contribution of volunteers from the Eastern European countries to Germany's war effort. The zinc type medal just shows some minor wear and great detail overall, it lost almost all of its original golden finish. The medal is complete with its original confectioned ribbon as found. The medal is not visible maker marked.Nice example in good condition!
