GVR 1st type Military O.B.E, GVR WW1 Military Cross, WW1 Pair with original M.I.D Oakleaves & WW2 Defence medalTo- MAJOR.H.L.B.LOVATT.Harry Leslie Bache Lovatt from Wolverhampton first landed in France 17-6-1916 serving as a Lieutenant with the 6th battalion of the South Staffordshire Regiment & was attached to the Royal Engineers. He was awarded the Military Cross for services in France in the London gazette 1-1-1918 & went on to be M.I.D for services in France 23-12-1918. His final award was the military O.B.E in the London gazette 1-1-1919 & he relinquished his commission in 1920. He was commissioned in to the North Wales Home Guard in WW2 & served as a Lieutenant Colonel. All of his awards are gazetted for services in France & Flanders as a member of the 6th South Staffordshire regiment.NEF/GVF & Swing mounted as worn.
