He first landed in France 5-11-1914 serving with G battery. He was commissioned in to the R.F.A in August 1915 & served in France with 393 battery. He relinquished his commission in 1920 on the grounds of ill health & applied for the issue of his campaign medals in 1921 whilst living in Herne Bay, Kent. The clasp to his 1914 star is confirmed on his MIC.GVF or better & complete with copy service papers both as an officer & other rank. Along with medal roll & London gazette details.
