He landed in Mesopotamia 24-11-1917 & was wounded in Mesopotamia 28-10-1918. He was mentioned in despatches by Lieut General Marshall for services in Mesopotamia 7-12-1919 & was awarded the French Medal Militaire 15-12-1919.
