WW1 PairTo- 30002.CPL.A.WOODWARD.R.AAlbert Woodward was born at Coxley Green, near Watford in Hertfordshire & enlisted in Bedfordshire. Whilst living in Watford. He was serving with the 120th Siege battery of the R.G.A when he was killed in action in France & Flanders on the first day of the March offensive 21-3-1918. He was 32 years of age at the time of his death & having no known grave he is commemorated on the Pozieres memorial. The CWGC state that he was the late son of William & Jessie Woodward & the late husband of Emily Louise Woodward of 290 West Ferry Road, Millwall, LondonNEF & Complete with details from both SDGW & the CWGC.
