Italian M1871-87-16, Bayonet, WWI Modified, Terni Arsenal

Original period manufacture. A clean example with a blade shortened to a 9 inch length and displaying a blue finish, Terni marked on the ricasso. Bright steel guard and pommel, long pattern lock spring and brown composition grips with no chips or cracks.  Sound black leather bodied scabbard, unusual in that the throat is brass and the chape is steel. Normal age and wear overall.
