Scarce WW1 Blackpool Volunteers Cap Badge.

The all-brass badge titled the 1st battalion Blackpool Volunteers. an interesting badge worn by the volunteers of Blackpool under the King's Own Royal Lancaster Regiment's Volunteer Training Corps. They constructed training trenches in Blackpool's Watson Road Park, they served on guard duty and supported the war effort in lots of other duties. In 1918 when every man was needed a special service company served on the Western front. This badge is in excellent used condition although heavily toned.Ref. E18
