Victorian 7th Dragoon Guards Cap Badge.

The all white metal badge of the 7th (Princess Royal's) Dragoon Guards. This badge was issued from around 1898 until 1906 when it was changed to all brass.There were two Princess Royal's during the period of this badge, the first, Princess Victoria, also known as the German Empress and Queen of Prussia. She was the eldest daughter of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. She passed away in August 1901.The next was Princess Helena, the third daughter of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert; she held the title until her death in 1923.This lovely quality badge is in excellent used condition with very light wear.Ref.
