Ltd Edition Franklin Mint Waterloo Chess Set.

A stunning Franklin Mint 1980's Limited Edition of the Waterloo chess set miniature die cast pewter hand painted figures with red or blue enamelled bases. Every figure is different even the pawns. The king and queens being the Duke of Wellington and Duchess Catherine. Napoleon with Empress Marie-Louise. On the allied side, the knights are Mashal Blucher and the Earl of Uxbridge, the castles Lions standing on regiment drums, and similarly on the French side, the attention to detail is amazing. The complete set comes in its original storage box with integral board on top. Also, there is a small box of leaflets explaining every figure and a certificate of Authenticity. Franklin mint did produce a similar set, but the pieces were plain and not individually hand painted.All figures are in mint condition case and board with minor storage wear. it measures 13 x 13 inches x 2 inches high.
